Ordering & Shipping Information

PLEASE READ ENTIRE PAGE BEFORE ORDERING

Requirements for number of poultry needed in the shipping box to insure warmth for safe shipping.

• Chicks, bantams and guinea keets:  Must be ordered in multiples of 25.  You can mix and match the chicks and keets to meet the mimimums. 
• Turkey Poults: Must be a minimum of 15.  Again you can mix and match varieties to meet the minimums.
• Peachicks:  Must have at least 8 for safe shipping. (You may combine a mimimum of 4 peachicks with 15 Guineas for safe shipping.)

Shipping Information:

All of our poultry are shipped priority or express mail through the United States Post Office.  We will telephone or e-mail you the day your birds are shipped so it is very important that you include your daytime and evening telephone numbers (if they are different) and your e-mail address on your order form (if you want us to use your e-mail address).  We call in the evening to let you know they have been sent and the Postal Service calls during the day to let you know they have arrived at your Post Office.  We will basically try to contact you first by telephone and will use the e-mail as backup contact in case we can’t reach you by phone.  We do not call if we do not ship.

Shipping Charges:

Priority Mail Shipping – These charges are already included in the price of our day old poultry & Hatching eggs.

Express Mail Shipping - Will be an extra charge if you desire this service.  If you are in a state that is not boardering or close to Idaho,  Express mail is highly recommended for all poults and peachicks.  Turkeys are just to fragile and Peachicks are to precious to take a chance on them taking three days or more for delivery.

Express Charges are as follows:

15 Poults or 8 Peafowl ------------------ $25.00

16-30 Poults or 9-16 Peafowl ----------- $30.00

31-45 Poults or 17-24 Peafowl ---------- $35.00

46-60 Poults or 25-32 Peafowl---------- $40.00

*** No Shipping to HI, MN, NV or VA.  Sorry but due to all the additional testing requirements, we are unable to do so. ***

*** No Shipping of Wild Turkey also to AL, NH, MA, NC, VA or GA.  All others states, please check with your state regulatory agency for any necessary permit. ***

Guarantees

Shipping Date:

There is no guarantee on shipping dates.  When your order has been received in our office with payment enclosed, we will set it up in our hatch schedule.  We will do our best to meet your requested date but there is no guarantee.  We ship on Mondays and Tuesdays and (occasionally Wednesdays)

We are a breed preservation facility.  We do not drop ship.  Every bird shipped out under the name of Blue Sky Hatchery has been hatched here from breeders which are maintained here at our farm.   We only hatch to prepaid orders.  We are not a large facility.  We do not kill the extra chicks each week as some hatcheries do.  Therefore we plan our hatching accordingly to first come first served.

Poultry Ordering Reminders

All orders must be received with full payment to be considered for booking. An order is not considered booked if you talk to us about it on the telephone, or send an e-mail telling us what you want. It will not be booked until we receive the payment. No exceptions!

If you do not order the minimums required for safe shipping, your order will be rejected.

We accept check, money order, Credit Card or Pay Pal.  If you pay by check, please remember that it must clear the bank before we ship can ship your order.  If you pay by either check or money order it must be received within 10 days after you placed your order or your order will be cancelled.

If you don’t have a paypal account, you can still pay through paypal with a credit or debit card.

Ordering early is best as we are not a large facility and we can handle only so many orders per season.

Cancellation Policy: 

We reserve the right to charge a 25% cancellation penalty on orders that are cancelled by the customer, for any reason.

Quantities:

The number in parenthesis “( )” after the description indicates the maximum number of day olds available at one hatch.  You can order as few as one of a particular breed.  If you want more then the maximum number, you will need to place two orders from two different hatches.  Or contact us to see if we may be able to make an exception and fill your request in one shipment.

Sexing:

Please remember all day-old poultry is sold as straight run only except for our sexlinks.  We do not sex any of the day olds.  Since we do not sell sexed poultry, we have no control over what you receive as far as male-female ration.  Ideally, it is supposed to be a 50-50 split, but anyone who has been in poultry knows it can vary from that.

We ship eggs and poults mid April to September.  Our egg orders are not filled until after our poult orders are in our incubators and fertility has been confirmed. 

We do not ship outside of the United States.
